Sophie Chochaeva

Sophie is a Business Operations Specialist and Paralegal at Salahi PC, where they run litigation support and operations across the firm’s antitrust, consumer protection, and civil rights and employment cases.

Before joining Salahi PC, Sophie was at a law firm that represents Tribal governments, housing authorities, and Native-owned enterprises, where they worked across litigation and regulatory matters in tribal, state, and federal courts. Earlier in their career, Sophie worked at a national plaintiffs’ firm known for high-stakes whistleblower and employment litigation, including analyzing plan documents, fees, and fiduciary conduct behind seven-figure ERISA and financial management claims.

Sophie graduated from Haverford College, where they studied comparative literature and political science, led the Tri-College Law Review, and taught in Bryn Mawr College’s Russian Language Flagship, a National Security Education Program initiative. In 2025, they received a competitive ACAMS award toward the Certified Anti-Fraud Specialist credential, and they are a member of The Anti-Fraud Coalition. Since 2020, Sophie has volunteered with OVD-Info, a legal-aid organization that supports people facing politically motivated prosecution in Russia.
