Salahi PC is a new litigation firm dedicated to advancing social and economic justice by taking on complex cases and providing superior representation in the fields of antitrust, civil rights and civil liberties, consumer protection, and employment.

This posting is for the firm’s first full-time associate attorney position. There is a lot of potential for an ambitious and talented attorney to stake out a meaningful role in defining and fulfilling the firm’s mission.

Examples from the firm’s class action docket include taking on a ranching association for allegedly colluding to suppress the wages of migrant sheepherders, challenging an alleged no-poach agreement between major grocery chains, and suing California’s prison system for allegedly withholding release money from people released from custody.

The firm is also handling individual litigation and non-litigation matters, and actively investigating new antitrust, civil rights, campus free speech, and consumer protection cases, as well as legal challenges to actions taken by the new federal government.

This is a fully remote position to start. In-person meetings and travel may be required from time to time, including for court hearings, depositions, conferences, or other business. The firm may eventually open a workspace in San Francisco with a flexible policy for in-person attendance.

The firm is committed to creating a workplace culture that respects and enables all people to thrive in their lives and careers, regardless of their background or identity.

Qualifications:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice, preferably in California.
  • At least two to three years of litigation experience preferred, including with drafting legal research memos, briefs, complaints, and discovery requests and responses; handling discovery meet and confers; taking and/or defending depositions; working with experts; and appearing in court.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines effectively and to efficiently manage time.
  • Familiarity with Rule 23, class actions, and MDLs preferred.
  • Clerkship experience is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000 annually, with a discretionary performance-based bonus. Pay will depend on factors like relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Ideal start date is in March or early April 2025.
