Deadline: June 20, 2025.

Salahi PC is participating in the 2026 Justice Catalyst-COSAL Fellowship, a groundbreaking initiative designed to help early-career attorneys promote economic fairness through enforcement of the antitrust laws.

Current 2Ls, 3Ls, and lawyers fewer than three years out of law school are eligible to apply.

The fellowship commences in fall 2026, and provides one year of funding and support for innovative legal projects that confront entrenched corporate power, address structural harms, and promote a more equitable distribution of wealth and economic opportunity.

The fellowship honors the life of Jonathan W. Cuneo, a leading litigator of antitrust class actions and a co-founder of the Committee to Support the Antitrust Laws.

As explained on Justice Catalyst’s website here, there are three phases to the application process:

  1. First, people who are interested in the fellowship contact participating law firms to find a sponsor. Salahi PC will be accepting applications from interested candidates through June 20, 2025.
  2. Second, if the firm decides to sponsor a candidate, the firm and the candidate will work together on an application to Justice Catalyst. Justice Catalyst will be accepting submissions from June 15, 2025 to September 15, 2025.
  3. Third, Justice Catalyst will interview select applicants. A final decision is expected to be made by October 31, 2025.

Salahi PC is currently accepting applications in the first phase. The firm is dedicated to advancing social and economic justice by taking on complex cases and providing superior representation in several areas of law, including antitrust. The firm’s current antitrust docket includes:

  • Alvarado v. Western Range Association: A proposed class action on behalf of migrant sheepherders alleging that a ranching association and its member ranches colluded to restrict competition for workers. Our co-counsel include Fairmark Law and Towards Justice.
  • Morgan v. Kroger & Albertsons: A proposed class action on behalf of Colorado grocery workers alleging that two employers colluded to restrain competition during labor negotiations. Our co-counsel include Towards Justice.
  • Calhoun v. California Interscholastic Federation: A proposed class action on behalf of California high school athletes seeking the ability to earn compensation for their athletic services and the use of their name, image, and likeness.

The firm is actively investigating new antitrust matters as well. Subject to litigation developments, a fellow can be expected to support the firm’s ongoing matters as well as the development of new matters.
