How we work with other lawyers
Ways to work with us
Co-counsel
We serve as lead, co-lead, local, or supporting counsel depending on the case.
Referrals
We regularly take referrals and will let you know promptly if we can’t take on a case.
Hourly engagements
We handle a limited number of hourly and hybrid matters for nonprofits, researchers, and small businesses: subpoena defense, RICO and business-tort defense, pre-suit investigations, and demand letters.
Clinics and nonprofits
We serve as trial or appellate counsel alongside law school clinics and nonprofit legal organizations, including the Yale Law School Veterans Legal Services Clinic.
What we bring
Experience across practice areas
Antitrust and wage suppression
Yaman Salahi argued Arrington v. Burger King Worldwide, 47 F.4th 1247 (11th Cir. 2022), which held that franchisors can conspire with franchisees under Section 1. Current cases challenge H-2A sheepherder wage-fixing and limits on high school athletes’ NIL rights.
Privacy and consumer class actions
We’ve successfully persuaded courts to reject Dialpad’s telephone-company exemption defense (June 2026) and to deny Academia.edu’s motions to compel arbitration and dismiss (May 2026). We also represent car buyers against Swickard Auto Group.
Civil rights
A class action over California’s withholding of prison gate money, Federal Tort Claims Act litigation against ICE, and amicus work for scholars and nonprofits.
Appeals
Admitted in the Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh, and Federal Circuits. The firm is defending several of its cases in federal and state appellate courts.
